and today, are you ready for Part 2?
After Lunch, DJ Jacob Towe & his lovely wife Courtney talked about how lighting can help take your reception to the next level!
and with the Towe’s it is all about the experience, so they popped some Champagne and served it to each attendee!
They even Skyped in one of their Brides to talk about how incorporating lighting into her Reception really created an elevated experience!
After Jacob & Courtney’s Session, I had a little fun in store for our Attendees! The Brides & their MOH or MOB were split up into 4 teams to compete in the 1st EVER Bridal Chopped! Each table was set up with a basket {in true Food Network: Chopped form} of “secret ingredients”. The girls were tasked to either create a tablescape with some obstacles and hurdles or find the “Pinterest Whammys” created by Kristen Weaver Photography! Each team was given 10 minutes to complete their tasks and then they were judged for a WINNER!
Once time was up, the judges stepped in to evaluate the tables & “pinterest boards”!

OOPS! This team missed this one! The “Bride” who gave them this basket, didn’t put her table numbers in right side up! Remember, when you are putting together your Wedding Weekend Tubs for your Wedding Pro’s make sure that you look at everything! These little mistakes and oversights can take time away from our day and the rest of your set-up! |
So, the WINNER is….. EVERYONE!!! Each Bride who attended the Dairing Bride Academy were given two gorgeous HM Willow Bracelets! What a great surprise!
Once the girls found their seats, Kristen Johnson, owner of An Affair to Remember, shared with the attendees “How to create a Stylized Event”!

How amazing are these wooden flower escort card holders from Company Forty Two |
Our last session of the day was with Natalie, owner of Pretty Peacock Paperie! She even brought some of the gorgeous invitations she has designed along to share with the attendees!
At the end of the day, I announced our Instagram contest winner ~ who posted over 150 photos to her instagram!! See all the fun #DairingBrideAcademy2015
Then, I invited any Bride forward who wanted to share her experience from the day. Sweet Sarah came forward and told us how the day was made more special because she was able to be there with her mom and it got her so excited to “restart” her planning process in a more positive way!
